Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based inpatient oncology nursing care to adults
• Safely administer and monitor IV chemotherapy and other oncologic treatments
• Document accurately and efficiently in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
• Respond to patient changes and initiate BLS/ACLS interventions when necessary
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families about treatments, side effect management, and discharge plans
• Maintain infection control, chemo safety standards, and medication administration protocols
• Float to Med/Surg units as needed to support patient flow and staffing needs

Qualifications

• Current CA RN license (required)
• ONC/Chemo certification (required)
• Proven inpatient acute oncology experience with IV chemotherapy administration (required)
• Current BLS and ACLS recognition (required)
• EPIC charting experience (required)
• Prior traveler experience (preferred)
• Med/Surg experience (preferred)
• Night shift experience (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of oncology pharmacology and chemotherapy safety practices
• Skilled in IV therapy, infusion pump management, and central line care
• Proficient with EPIC electronic charting and electronic medication administration
• Ability to perform rapid assessment and triage on a busy inpatient unit
• Excellent communication, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Familiarity with ACLS and BLS protocols and emergency response
