Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Help patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding in a respectful manner
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
- Accurately document care and maintain clear patient records
- Support safe transfer and mobility techniques to prevent falls and promote independence
- Follow infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, patients, and families to coordinate care
- Contribute to a positive team environment and help create meaningful patient experiences
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification valid for practice in NH (and VT if applicable)
- Active state registry status and ability to pass facility onboarding requirements
- Comfortable working 12.5-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) with a 30-minute meal break
- Previous experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus but new graduates are welcome
- Basic CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Reliable, professional, and patient-focused with good communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant training program (LNA)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care fundamentals and hands-on assistance skills
- Familiarity with infection prevention and basic safety protocols
- Accurate vital sign measurement and documentation
- Good interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and families
- Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively within the care team
- Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs during busy shifts
