Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Provide compassionate bedside care and maintain patient dignity at all times
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Help create a calm, supportive environment for patients and families during overnight hours

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential (NH or eligible to obtain)
• Completion of a state-approved LNA program
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfort working overnight shifts and supporting acute or long-term care patients
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a state-approved LNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with patient care tasks and ADL assistance
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Ability to observe, document, and report changes in patient condition
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize during busy night shifts
• Collaborative communication with nurses, therapists, and support staff
