Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care as an integral member of the care team
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
- Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing staff promptly
- Support safe transfers and fall-prevention practices for patients
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate effectively with teammates
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients and families
Qualifications
- Active LNA credential (Licensed Nursing Assistant) — appropriate for VT/NH practice
- Prior experience as an LNA or similar caregiving role is a plus
- Basic ability to perform patient transfers and assist with ADLs
- Willingness to work overnight shifts and provide dependable coverage
- Ability to pass required background checks and facility onboarding
Education
- Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program or equivalent
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care and infection control practices
- Comfortable taking/recording vital signs and observing patient status
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
- Compassionate bedside manner and respect for patient dignity
