Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care during overnight shifts
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
- Document care and communicate observations clearly with the care team
- Help create a calm, reassuring environment for residents and families
- Participate in bedside handoffs and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification — VT or NH (as indicated)
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; appropriate state licensure required
- Comfortable working overnight/night shifts
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved LNA program or equivalent training
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with basic patient care and ADLs
- Knowledge of infection control and proper PPE use
- Accurate vital signs measurement and documentation
- Ability to follow care plans and report changes in condition
- Compassionate patient interaction, strong observational skills
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
