Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
• Assist with mobility, transfers, bathing, grooming, and toileting while maintaining dignity
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Document care and observations clearly in resident charts or the electronic record
• Support safe infection control and safety practices at all times
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
• Build rapport with residents and families to create a warm, supportive environment

Qualifications

• Active LNA certification (Licensed Nursing Assistant) — VT or NH credentials recognized
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts and able to perform physical aspects of care
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred but caring attitude is key

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved LNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and resident mobility
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Strong observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
• Good documentation habits and basic familiarity with electronic charting
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safety procedures
• Reliable time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
