Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in resident charts and care plans
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and staff to promote teamwork and continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification — valid for New Hampshire or Vermont (position listed VT/NH)
- Completion of an approved nursing assistant training program
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Clear background check and ability to meet facility health screening requirements
- Dependable, compassionate, and patient-focused with good communication skills
- Ability to work per diem shifts and travel locally to Lebanon area as needed
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an accredited nursing assistant (LNA) training program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and hands-on assistance with ADLs
- Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Good observational skills to notice and report changes in resident status
- Team-oriented communication and time management in busy care settings
- Respectful, person-centered approach to resident care
