Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients during night shifts
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility with dignity
- Monitor and document resident status, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity of care and a comfortable environment
- Follow facility policies for infection control, safety, and resident rights
Qualifications
- Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification — required
- Active LNA license in New Hampshire or Vermont, or eligible for licensure
- Comfortable working 12.5-hour night shifts and flexible per-diem assignments
- Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Clear background check and any facility-required health screenings
Education
- Completion of an approved LNA training program
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong bedside manners and ability to connect with residents
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, documentation
- Good communication and teamwork with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams
- Time management and prioritization during busy shift periods
- Awareness of infection prevention and resident safety practices
