Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living—bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and accurately document resident status, vitals, and any changes in condition
- Communicate observations and concerns clearly to nurses and the broader care team
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper techniques and equipment
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
- Contribute to a positive, resident-centered environment through teamwork and professionalism
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification/class (Class: LNA)
- Licensure valid for Vermont or New Hampshire (position titled VT/NH)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
- Friendly, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and assistance with ADLs
- Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
- Accurate documentation and charting practices
- Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
- Good time management and teamwork in a fast-paced care setting
