Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Provide compassionate, respectful care and emotional support to patients and families
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
• Accurately document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team
• Support nurses with routine clinical tasks and assist in patient transfers
• Participate in unit teamwork to ensure smooth, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification for VT or NH as applicable
• Completion of a state-approved LNA training program
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable with patient transfers and basic clinical tasks
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to communicate clearly with patients and team members
• Ability to work evenings and flexible per-diem shifts

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited LNA program or equivalent state-approved training

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
• Familiarity with vital sign measurement and documentation
• Good infection control and safety practices
• Clear, compassionate communication and teamwork skills
• Basic charting and record-keeping abilities
• Attention to detail and ability to follow care plans
