Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and changes in patient condition accurately
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility with proper body mechanics
• Communicate clearly with nurses and interdisciplinary team to support care plans
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and maintaining patient dignity
• Document care provided in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner
• Follow infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification for New Hampshire or Vermont as applicable
• Active basic life support certification (BLS/CPR) preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and able to handle the physical demands of patient care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered attitude
• Previous clinical experience preferred but new graduates with LNA certification are encouraged to apply

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant training program and current LNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care skills and safe transfer techniques
• Accurate vital signs measurement and documentation
• Basic wound care and toileting assistance knowledge
• Familiarity with infection prevention and hand hygiene best practices
• Ability to use electronic health record systems for charting is a plus
• Good situational awareness and the ability to escalate concerns promptly
