Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
• Monitor and record vital signs and report significant changes to the nursing team
• Support safe meal service and assist with feeding as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control practices
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with nurses and families
• Be an advocate for resident dignity and comfort during every shift

Qualifications

• Current LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) certification — must be valid for NH or VT or eligible to obtain
• Comfortable providing hands-on personal care and working with diverse patient needs
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Willingness to work per-diem evening shifts (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
• Current basic certifications as required by facility policy (e.g., BLS if requested)

Education

• LNA certification / Nursing Assistant certification required
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient-centered care and strong interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with ADLs, transfers, and safe patient handling
• Ability to take and record vital signs and observe patient condition
• Basic charting/documentation and following care plans
• Infection prevention, safety awareness, and attention to detail
• Reliable time management and adaptability in a fast-paced setting
