Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility)
- Monitor and record vital signs and changes in resident condition accurately
- Communicate important observations and concerns to the nursing team
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
- Document care and interventions clearly and promptly in resident records
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful interactions
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Local to Camden, ME — this is a local contract assignment
- Previous CNA experience preferred but new grads who are eager to learn are welcome
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered mindset
- Ability to pass required background checks and facility onboarding (standard for clinical roles)
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
- Basic vital signs measurement and recording
- Infection control, safe transfer and mobility techniques
- Accurate documentation and charting of care provided
- Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks
- Collaborative communication with nursing staff and care teams
