Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents — assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident changes accurately and promptly
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Assist nursing staff with treatments and follow care plans closely
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and the care team
• Document care and observations thoroughly in the facility record systems
• Support mobility and fall-prevention efforts to keep residents safe

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• Active/state-appropriate CNA license or eligible to be licensed in New Mexico
• Local candidates only — must be able to commute to Santa Fe area (posting specifies LOCAL ONLY)
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting helpful but new grads with strong training are encouraged to apply
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a caring attitude

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in resident care and basic nursing tasks
• Comfortable with ADLs, transfers, and safe use of equipment
• Accurate vital signs collection and documentation
• Infection control and standard precautions knowledge
• Good teamwork, time management, and clear communication
