Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
- Monitor and record vital signs, report any changes to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe transfers and mobility while maintaining dignity and comfort
- Assist with meal service and documentation of intake as required
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification and active state CNA license
- Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts on Sunday, Friday, and Saturday
- Local candidates only (position is LOCAL ONLY)
- Current BLS/CPR preferred or willing to obtain, depending on facility policy
- Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings or immunizations
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong basic clinical skills: taking vitals, safe patient handling, ADL support
- Compassionate communication and ability to interact respectfully with residents and families
- Accurate documentation and basic charting skills
- Teamwork mindset and the ability to follow care plans and nursing directions
- Time management for long shifts and multiple resident assignments
