Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations accurately and promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Help implement individualized care plans under the direction of nursing staff and therapists
• Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable patient environments following infection control practices
• Document care provided and communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Collaborate with rehabilitation staff to encourage participation in therapy activities and promote recovery

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to work the scheduled days: Monday, Thursday, Friday — 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM
• Local candidate only as noted in the order
• Willingness to complete facility onboarding requirements including background check and drug screen
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well on a team

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Active CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADL) assistance and patient hygiene practices
• Skill in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Basic understanding of infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Comfort working in a rehabilitation or long-term care environment
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to follow care plans, complete documentation, and escalate concerns appropriately
