Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with the care team
- Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect patients and peers
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification or equivalent nursing assistant credential
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements
- Comfort working the 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM shift and working collaboratively
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification or completion of an approved nursing assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care skills and compassionate bedside manner
- Basic vital signs monitoring and charting skills
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
- Clear communication and teamwork skills
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
