Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
- Monitor residents and document observations, changes, and concerns
- Support the nursing team with timely communication and task completion
- Follow care plans and facility policies to ensure safe, high-quality care
Qualifications
- GNA or equivalent nursing assistant certification (required)
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required by facility)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA/CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with infection control and basic patient safety procedures
- Ability to assist with transfers and safe resident handling
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation skills
- Teamwork-minded with good time management and observation skills
- Comfortable working evening/night hours and adapting to care needs
