Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to residents, promoting dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and document resident conditions and promptly report changes
- Support nursing staff with transfers, feeding, range of motion, and basic clinical tasks
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control procedures
Qualifications
- Valid state GNA or CNA certification as required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Comfortable working evenings and collaborating with a care team
- Prior experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED; GNA or CNA certification required as applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic clinical and patient care skills
- Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
- Good time management and reliability
- Ability to document clearly and follow care plans
