Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality outpatient cardiology care including annual and follow-up visits
- Manage acute outpatient cardiology visits and treat established patients
- Provide inbox coverage and manage messages for providers who are out of the office
- Interpret cardiology imaging and diagnostic testing to guide management of complex patients
- Document clinical encounters clearly and communicate effectively with the care team
- Work independently while collaborating with physicians, RNs, MAs, and front office staff
Qualifications
- Licensed ARNP/NP (ARNP) or PA with active credentials or eligibility in Washington state
- Minimum outpatient cardiology experience required; proven cardiology clinical experience
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record required
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Comfortable working independently within a team-based care model
- Current BLS; ACLS preferred or able to obtain per facility policy
Education
- Master's degree or higher as an NP or completion of accredited PA program
- Current national certification (e.g., ANCC/AANP for NPs, NCCPA for PAs)
Knowledge & Skills
- Experience interpreting EKGs, echocardiograms, and common cardiology diagnostics
- Familiarity with outpatient cardiology workflows and follow-up visit management
- Skilled in triaging and managing inbox/portal message workflows
- Excellent patient communication and shared decision-making skills
- Ability to manage a patient panel averaging ~16 visits per day
