Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately to patients for diagnostic imaging
• Operate and troubleshoot nuclear imaging equipment (SPECT/PET/gamma cameras) to capture high-quality images
• Prepare and calculate radioactive doses while following strict radiation safety protocols
• Perform patient assessments, explain procedures clearly, and ensure patient comfort throughout imaging
• Maintain accurate patient records, document procedures, and ensure compliance with facility policies
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and the care team to support timely diagnoses
• Follow state and federal regulations for radiation handling, storage, and disposal

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of clinical nuclear medicine experience required
• Certification such as ARRT(N) or NMTCB preferred or equivalent state credential
• Current state technologist license for Oklahoma (or eligible for licensure)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Ability to pass facility compliance checks and submit documentation at least one week prior to start
• Must provide accurate work history and permanent address at time of submission
• Local candidates within 50 miles will be considered at a reduced travel rate (facility policy)

Education

• Associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related allied health field, or equivalent clinical training
• Completion of an accredited nuclear medicine technologist program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of radiation safety and radioactive dosage calculations
• Familiarity with SPECT, PET, and gamma camera imaging techniques
• Comfortable with PACS and electronic health record systems
• Patient-centered communication and compassionate care skills
• Detail-oriented with good documentation and time-management abilities
• Ability to follow facility protocols and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment
