Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in medication preparation and accurate labeling to ensure patient safety
- Perform technical support functions under pharmacist supervision, contributing to efficient pharmacy operations
- Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications following protocols (sterile compounding experience preferred)
- Maintain accurate records, assist with inventory management, and help with medication distribution
- Follow all safety, quality and regulatory procedures to protect patients and staff
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to continuously improve workflow and patient outcomes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current unencumbered Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician License required
- Successful completion of a Medical Pharmacy Technician course preferred
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Sterile compounding experience preferred
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with medication preparation and labeling best practices
- Knowledge of sterile compounding principles preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills and comfort with pharmacy software and recordkeeping
- Ability to follow protocols and regulatory requirements
