Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams with attention to patient safety and image quality
• Provide imaging support for the Surgery Center and, when needed, at the main hospital or outpatient imaging site
• Demonstrate autonomy and confident decision-making in a sometimes fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with surgical and outpatient teams to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate imaging documentation
• Maintain equipment and imaging records, following radiation safety and institutional protocols
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, especially orthopedic cases, to optimize comfort and outcomes

Qualifications

• Current ARRT (R) certification required
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association) required
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Minimum of 1 year of current experience performing radiographic procedures required; 2 years preferred
• Experience with orthopedic imaging preferred
• Comfortable performing a variety of imaging procedures and learning additional modalities as needed
• Ability to work independently and adapt to variable case volumes

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiography program (Associate's degree or equivalent preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong hands-on radiography skillset and image acquisition techniques
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and proper shielding
• Ability to handle orthopedic exams and trauma positioning
• Familiarity with outpatient and surgical center workflows
• Good communication skills for interacting with surgeons, technologists, and patients
• Attention to detail for producing high-quality diagnostic images
