Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams with attention to patient safety and image quality
- Provide imaging support for the Surgery Center and, when needed, at the main hospital or outpatient imaging site
- Demonstrate autonomy and confident decision-making in a sometimes fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with surgical and outpatient teams to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate imaging documentation
- Maintain equipment and imaging records, following radiation safety and institutional protocols
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, especially orthopedic cases, to optimize comfort and outcomes
Qualifications
- Current ARRT (R) certification required
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association) required
- Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
- Minimum of 1 year of current experience performing radiographic procedures required; 2 years preferred
- Experience with orthopedic imaging preferred
- Comfortable performing a variety of imaging procedures and learning additional modalities as needed
- Ability to work independently and adapt to variable case volumes
Education
- Completion of an accredited radiography program (Associate's degree or equivalent preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong hands-on radiography skillset and image acquisition techniques
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles and proper shielding
- Ability to handle orthopedic exams and trauma positioning
- Familiarity with outpatient and surgical center workflows
- Good communication skills for interacting with surgeons, technologists, and patients
- Attention to detail for producing high-quality diagnostic images
