Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders using sound clinical judgment
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that improve communication and quality of life
- Provide targeted therapy focused on communication, cognition, and dysphagia management
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to maximize outcomes
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation staff to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation to support patient care and compliance
Qualifications
- Active California Speech Language Pathologist license (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Minimum 1 year of speech therapy experience
- Previous skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment of speech, language, cognition, and swallowing
- Dysphagia management and safe swallow strategies
- Individualized treatment planning and progress monitoring
- Effective interdisciplinary communication and collaboration
- Accurate clinical documentation and charting
