Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to patients in a skilled nursing facility
Assess and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patient outcomes
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care
Educate patients and families on communication strategies and home exercise programs
Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Qualifications

Active California Speech-Language Pathologist license
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
Experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and therapeutic techniques
Proficient in conducting assessments and using standardized tests
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
