Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready
Assist surgeons directly during general, orthopedic, and neurosurgical procedures
Maintain a safe and organized surgical field while anticipating the needs of the surgical team
Monitor and care for patients before, during, and after surgery to ensure optimal outcomes
Collaborate with the entire OR team to deliver high-quality patient care
Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

2 years of recent Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) experience required
Must hold current NCCT or NBSTSA certification (documentation required)
Proven proficiency in general surgery, orthopedics, and neurosurgery
Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced surgical team
Willingness to float to other units as needed and work holidays per facility policy

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in surgical technology and sterile technique
Strong knowledge of general, orthopedic, and neurosurgical procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and focused during high-pressure situations
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities
