Location: Lawton, Oklahoma

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with call; 1-2 weekend days of call per 13 week period (36 Hour Guarantee)

Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive perioperative care to patients undergoing general, orthopedic, and neurosurgical procedures
Prepare the operating room and ensure all equipment and supplies are sterile and ready
Monitor patient vitals and status throughout surgery, responding to changes immediately
Assist surgeons and surgical team with instruments and supplies during procedures
Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery expectations
Document all nursing interventions and patient responses accurately

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma (or compact state accepted)
Minimum 2 years of recent OR nursing experience required
Experience with general, ortho, and neuro surgery required
CVOR experience highly preferred
BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control
Proficient in surgical instrumentation for multiple specialties
Excellent communication and teamwork in high-stress environments
Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and adapt quickly
