Orthopedic Travel Surgical Technician

Location: Zanesville, OH

Start Date: 08-10-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Four 10-hour shifts per week (schedule varies), plus call rotation including weekdays, weekends, and holidays with 30-minute response time

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert intraoperative support for orthopedic surgical procedures including total joint and sports medicine
Manage orthopedic implants, grafts, and instrumentation with precision and care
Maintain sterile field and adhere to perioperative standards
Collaborate with surgeons and OR team to anticipate needs and ensure smooth procedures
Support additional surgical specialties (General, Urology, GYN, ENT, Neuro, Robotics) as needed

Qualifications

Current Surgical Technician Certification (required)
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience with a strong orthopedic focus
Experience with orthopedic implants and grafts
Strong understanding of sterile technique and perioperative standards
Flexibility and adaptability to different teams, workflows, and case volumes

Knowledge & Skills

Critical thinking and strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and respond quickly
Commitment to patient safety and quality care
Team-oriented mindset with willingness to support all service lines
Familiarity with robotics and advanced surgical technology is a plus
