Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing screenings and evaluations
• Develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans
• Deliver skilled therapy to help patients improve communication and swallowing function
• Document services accurately in compliance with regulations and facility standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, patients, and families
• Maintain strict compliance with infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current Alabama SLP license is required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY eligibility
• Strong communication and clinical problem-solving skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in speech, language, and swallowing therapy
• Skilled in patient evaluation and treatment planning
• Proficient with clinical documentation standards
• Ability to create engaging, individualized therapy plans
• Team collaboration and effective patient/family education
