Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding preventive dental care, including cleanings and fluoride treatments
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Assist the dentist during procedures by anticipating their needs
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision
• Screen patients for oral diseases and report findings to the dentist
• Maintain a sterile, organized operatory and sterilize instruments
• Document patient care accurately and update dental records

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Dental Hygienist license in good standing
• Graduate from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR certification preferred
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable using dental software and taking X-rays

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and infection control
• Skilled in patient assessment and dental radiography
• Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with patients of all ages
• Proficient in dental practice management software
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
