Roles & Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for orthodontic treatment, ensuring comfort and confidence
• Assist the orthodontist during adjustments, appliance placements, and other procedures
• Take and process dental x-rays as directed, maintaining safety standards
• Sterilize and organize instruments and treatment areas to the highest standards
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and care of their orthodontic appliances

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid orthodontic certification (required)
• Experience as a dental assistant, ideally in orthodontics
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent patient communication skills and a warm chairside manner
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy clinic

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep understanding of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Comfortable taking dental impressions, x-rays, and digital scans
• Strong grasp of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic patient care
• Great teamwork and interpersonal skills
