Roles & Responsibilities
- Greet and prepare patients for orthodontic treatment, ensuring comfort and confidence
- Assist the orthodontist during adjustments, appliance placements, and other procedures
- Take and process dental x-rays as directed, maintaining safety standards
- Sterilize and organize instruments and treatment areas to the highest standards
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and care of their orthodontic appliances
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid orthodontic certification (required)
- Experience as a dental assistant, ideally in orthodontics
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Excellent patient communication skills and a warm chairside manner
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy clinic
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep understanding of orthodontic instruments and procedures
- Comfortable taking dental impressions, x-rays, and digital scans
- Strong grasp of infection control and sterilization protocols
- Knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic patient care
- Great teamwork and interpersonal skills
