Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams, bracket placements, and adjustments
• Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments for every patient
• Take digital X-rays, impressions, and intraoral photos as needed
• Educate patients on braces, aligners, retainers, and oral hygiene
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
• Keep the office running smoothly by anticipating the doctor's needs

Qualifications

• Current orthodontic assistant certification in Maryland (MD) required
• Previous experience as a dental assistant is a plus
• A friendly, patient-focused attitude and strong work ethic

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, brackets, and wires
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Ability to take high-quality dental X-rays and impressions
• Strong communication skills with patients and teammates
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
