Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and treatment procedures to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms while maintaining strict infection control standards.
• Take and process dental X-rays and impressions, ensuring high-quality diagnostic results.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and provide clear oral hygiene instructions for optimal outcomes.
• Document patient medical histories and progress notes accurately to support continuity of care.
• Serve as a valuable chairside support, anticipating the needs of the orthodontist and the patient.

Qualifications

• Must be orthodontic certified (required)
• Experience as an orthodontic or dental assistant preferred
• Strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic techniques, instruments, and equipment
• Proficiency in taking dental impressions and X-rays
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Skilled in patient education and chairside assistance
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
