Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and treatment procedures to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms while maintaining strict infection control standards.
- Take and process dental X-rays and impressions, ensuring high-quality diagnostic results.
- Educate patients on treatment plans and provide clear oral hygiene instructions for optimal outcomes.
- Document patient medical histories and progress notes accurately to support continuity of care.
- Serve as a valuable chairside support, anticipating the needs of the orthodontist and the patient.
Qualifications
- Must be orthodontic certified (required)
- Experience as an orthodontic or dental assistant preferred
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic techniques, instruments, and equipment
- Proficiency in taking dental impressions and X-rays
- Understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
- Skilled in patient education and chairside assistance
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
