Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist our orthodontist with procedures and patient care to create dazzling smiles
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, ensuring a spotless and safe clinical environment
• Capture high-quality dental X-rays and images, always prioritizing patient comfort
• Guide patients through their orthodontic journey with clear instructions and encouragement
• Keep accurate patient records and assist with treatment planning
• Jump in wherever needed to keep the office running smoothly

Qualifications

• Valid dental assistant certification or the ability to obtain Maryland state registration
• CPR certification is required
• Prior experience in orthodontics is a plus, but we're happy to train the right person
• Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care
• Excellent communication and people skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and orthodontic procedures
• Ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy clinical setting
• Tech-savvy with experience using dental practice management software
• Detail-oriented approach to record keeping and patient data
• A warm, empathetic approach to patient interaction
