Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist chairside during patient evaluations, adjustments, and procedures
• Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe and spotless environment
• Take digital impressions, intraoral scans, and dental X-rays as directed
• Help fit and adjust braces, aligners, expanders, and retainers with precision
• Educate patients and families on orthodontic care and oral hygiene best practices
• Keep clinical supplies stocked and support the flow of the office

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or other state-recognized dental assistant certification required
• Prior orthodontic assisting experience is preferred
• A friendly, reassuring chairside manner and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work the specified evening schedule
• A passion for helping patients achieve beautiful, healthy smiles

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, materials, and procedures
• Proficiency in taking and mounting dental radiographs
• Skill in digital charting and intraoral scanning
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Strong patient communication and education abilities
• Solid organizational and multitasking skills
