Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during procedures, creating a calm and friendly experience for children.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
• Take and process dental x-rays as directed, while following safety protocols.
• Provide chairside support and help ease any anxiety young patients may feel.
• Educate kids and parents on proper brushing, flossing, and oral care habits.
• Maintain clear patient records and support daily office workflow.

Qualifications

• Prior dental assisting experience is preferred, but a strong willingness to learn is valued.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Dental radiography (X-ray) certification is required.
• Excellent communication skills, especially with children, are essential.
• A warm, patient, and positive attitude goes a long way here.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to multitask in a busy, family-friendly dental practice.
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect with young patients and parents.
• Comfortable using dental software and digital imaging systems.
