Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the pediatric dentist during check-ups, cleanings, and procedures, ensuring each child feels safe and comfortable
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a spotless, welcoming clinic environment
• Take and develop dental x-rays with care and precision
• Teach children about oral hygiene in a fun, encouraging way
• Partner with the team to create a warm, kid-friendly experience from arrival to their new toothbrush
• Keep accurate patient records and help the office run smoothly

Qualifications

• Certified dental assistant (CDA) or state-approved training
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience or genuine love for working with children
• Radiology certification or willingness to obtain
• A friendly, patient, and compassionate chairside manner

Knowledge & Skills

• Great communication skills - both with kids and adults
• Strong organizational skills to manage instruments and supplies
• Ability to build trust and ease dental anxiety
• Knowledge of dental software and charting systems
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, cheerful environment
