Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist dentists chair-side during procedures, keeping patients at ease
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms for each patient
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist
- Provide patients with aftercare instructions and oral hygiene tips
- Document patient information and maintain accurate clinical records
- Collaborate with a friendly dental team to ensure efficient and excellent care
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or completion of an accredited program
- X-ray certification and experience taking dental radiographs
- A caring, professional attitude with strong communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- CPR/BLS certification is preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of dental terminology and anatomy
- Hands-on knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control
- Skill in managing patient comfort during procedures
- Familiarity with dental records and scheduling software
- Ability to anticipate the dentist's needs during treatments
- Strong teamwork and adaptability skills
