Location: Susanville, CA

Candidate Pay Rate: $85 - $59.5 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech-language therapy treatment plans
Diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to improve communication and safety
Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques and adapt interventions as residents progress
Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and revise plans of care as needed
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and rehabilitation team members to coordinate care
Educate residents and caregivers on communication strategies and swallowing safety to enhance independence
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and comply with facility standards

Qualifications

Active California Speech-Language Pathologist license required
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
Previous SNF, rehabilitation, or geriatric therapy experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment, patient care, and documentation skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills; compassionate approach to resident care

Education

Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and patient evaluation expertise
Speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy techniques
Treatment planning and progress monitoring
Clear, timely clinical documentation practices
Effective communication and caregiver education strategies
Ability to collaborate within interdisciplinary care teams
