Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients in the acute care hospital setting and create individualized care plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic techniques to improve function and mobility
• Use patient lifting equipment (SARA+, Stedy, Maximove) safely during transfers and mobility training
• Document evaluations, progress, and plans accurately in Cerner PowerChart
• Supervise and coordinate therapeutic care with PTAs, OTs, rehab techs and nursing staff
• Communicate evaluation results and goals clearly to patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Prioritize patient safety and dignity while delivering high-quality rehabilitation services

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina license to practice Physical Therapy (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (BS in Physical Therapy)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum clinical experience (posting indicates experience requirement) with acute care experience preferred
• Comfortable with orthopedics, neurology and cardiopulmonary patient populations
• Ability to work scheduled days (Friday-Monday) and adapt to unit-specific policies
