Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
- Perform timely assessments and document patient condition changes accurately
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Respond to emergencies and escalating situations with calm, decisive action
- Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
Qualifications
- Current RN license (California licensure preferred or eligible)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and PALS a plus
- Prior acute care or hospital experience preferred (1+ year recommended)
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and bedside manner
- Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in patient assessment and clinical documentation
- Medication administration and IV therapy skills
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Infection control practices and safe patient handling
