Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
• Perform nursing assessments, triage concerns, and escalate appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Maintain clear, timely electronic health record documentation
• Support health education and communication with patients and families
• Follow facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (California) or eligible to obtain one
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred or obtainable
• Experience in acute care, school health, or community nursing is a plus
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts and escalate when needed
• Professional communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and triage during overnight hours
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation best practices
• Basic emergency response and stabilization
• Infection control and safety procedures
• Clear communication with patients, families, and care teams
