Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients at the bedside, making their comfort a priority
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report any concerning changes
- Support nursing staff with treatments and procedures while following care plans
- Document patient care clearly and promptly in the charting system
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control standards
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification valid in California (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required or obtain upon hire)
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as per facility policy
- Ability to work overnight shifts and provide reliable per-diem coverage
- Clean background check and ability to pass facility onboarding requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of basic patient care and activities of daily living
- Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Comfortable with patient transfers, safe lifting techniques, and mobility assistance
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with nurses and staff
- Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety protocols
- Basic charting and documentation skills with attention to detail
