Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient cardiopulmonary status using evidence-based respiratory care
• Provide ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication delivery, and airway care
• Respond to rapid response events and code situations as needed with professionalism
• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Document interventions and patient progress accurately in Meditech Expanse (highly preferred)
• Educate patients and families about respiratory care plans and home care when appropriate
• Maintain required certifications and adhere to state and facility policies

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Active NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) required
• Current American Heart Association BLS required
• Massachusetts RRT license must be in hand at time of submission (New Hampshire RRT license listed as required)
• Minimum 3 years of recent RRT experience required
• ACLS and PALS preferred
• Own reliable vehicle for this assignment
• CRT candidates will not be considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with ventilator management and respiratory therapies
• Comfortable working in acute care and responding to emergencies
• Proficient documentation skills; Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends
• Detail-oriented with strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making abilities
