Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Thursday-Friday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (overnight)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms vigilantly to detect changes early
  • Assess and document patient conditions clearly and compassionately
  • Administer medications and treatments safely following facility protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
  • Respond swiftly to clinical changes and participate in emergency interventions
  • Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and discharge plans

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
  • Clinical experience in telemetry nursing (telemetry experience preferred)
  • Current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
  • Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Comfortable working overnight shifts and managing acutely ill patients

Education

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition
  • Skilled patient assessment and vital sign interpretation
  • Familiarity with cardiac meds and basic IV therapy
  • Clear documentation and effective communication with care teams
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
