Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and quickly identify and escalate cardiac changes
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for telemetry patients
• Perform thorough assessments and document findings clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following policy and best practice
• Educate patients and families about their condition and provide compassionate support
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and smooth transitions of care

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible to practice in California preferred)
• Telemetry experience — comfortable reading cardiac rhythms and using tele-monitoring equipment
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; professional and dependable
• Per diem availability for the listed date and shift

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — RN degree required

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Cardiac patient assessment and recognition of acute changes
• IV therapy and medication administration best practices
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation and handoff communication
• Patient education and family-centered care
• Time management, prioritization, and delegation in a clinical setting
