Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Flexible 6-hour shifts, various days including weekends

Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert nursing care to critically ill children in the PICU
Monitor vital signs and administer medications with precision
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized care plans
Educate and support families during challenging times
Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio (or compact state)
Minimum 2 years of recent PICU experience preferred
BLS and PALS certifications required
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in pediatric assessment and interventions
Proficiency with ventilators, IV pumps, and monitoring equipment
Knowledge of pediatric pharmacology and dosage calculations
Excellent documentation and organizational abilities
Compassionate bedside manner with patients and families
