Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care during the MST assignment with attention to safety and comfort
• Perform thorough assessments and document findings clearly in the chart
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and facility policies
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure smooth patient transitions
• Respond promptly to emergent situations and escalate concerns appropriately
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity
• Maintain compliance with infection control and facility protocols

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (California license recommended for this assignment)
• Experience or familiarity with MST (Mobile/Medical Screening Team) workflows
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred where applicable
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Comfort working independently on per-diem overnight shifts

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent patient assessment and triage abilities
• Skilled in medication administration and clinical documentation
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and communicate effectively under pressure
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable in fast-paced settings
