Shift Type: Night focus, 3x12-hour nights per week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; rotating D/N possible (you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination depending on department needs). Schedule assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period. Orientation: Week 1 Mon-Fri dayshift; Week 2: 36 hours on-unit with a preceptor.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to Med-Surg and PCU patients using telemetry monitoring
• Perform skilled procedures such as IV starts and tracheostomy care including suctioning and inner cannula changes
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias to keep patients safe and stable
• Document accurately and efficiently in EPIC for clear, coordinated patient care
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed, supporting staffing needs across the floor
• Follow infection prevention protocols and fall-prevention strategies to protect vulnerable patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory, PT, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years RN experience required; experience must be met within the most recent 3 years
• At least 1 year of current specialty experience required for clinical pass
• EPIC charting experience required
• BLS (BCLS) required
• ACLS, NIHSS, and OCN preferred (marked as preferred certifications)
• Administration of chemotherapy preferred for those with Oncology skills/certification
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Med-Surg and Telemetry patient care expertise
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting
• IV starts and vascular access skills
• Tracheostomy care and suctioning
• Familiarity with BiPAP/CPAP management and basic respiratory support
• Experience with unit equipment: GE B450 telemetry monitors, Alaris pumps, bladder scanner, Stryker beds
• Strong infection prevention and patient safety practices
