Location: Folsom, California

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts with 2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (Nights: Friday/Saturday, Days: Saturday/Sunday), may include on-call/standby with 30-minute response time

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $93 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum in our Family Birthing Center
Monitor fetal heart rates and respond swiftly to changes using advanced EFM technology
Titrate Pitocin and manage insulin drips to support safe, healthy deliveries
Catch the baby and provide immediate NRP support at every delivery
Collaborate with OB physicians, anesthesia, and RT teams for seamless patient outcomes
Float to other Sacramento facilities when needed to support system-wide care

Qualifications

Active California RN license
ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced EFM certifications required
Minimum 1 year of LDRP experience (3 years preferred)
OR circulating experience accepted if combined with L&D skills
Comfortable performing NRP independently with no in-house pediatric coverage

Knowledge & Skills

Strong fetal monitoring interpretation and AWHONN guideline knowledge
Experience caring for patients 35 weeks and above, including twin deliveries
Ability to manage high-volume NST antepartum testing
Skilled with GE fetal monitors and Fetalink EFM system
Team-oriented with flexibility to float across facilities
